So, Ladies and Gentleman, here it is! The day I finally fulfil number 14 on my “30 things to do before I’m 30″ list. You might ask what drives a 25 year old girl with long blonde locks to shave her hair off?

Well on this particular evening, I went round to visit my sister and her lovely fiancé, I’d been liking the shaved style for a while and thought it had looked totally awesome on celebs like Rihanna and Cher Lloyd. I was really jealous of the fact that famous people seem to get away with this hair do and totally rock the look, but when asked, my friends or family insisted I’d look like a man! This particular evening I had asked my sister Leah and her fiancé Shane if they thought this was something I’d suit whilst hurriedly googling the celeb images I was talking about.

To my surprise, Leah had nearly jumped out of her seat yelling that she thought I should shave my hair, and that she thought it would look rock n roll! Her fiancé was in agreement saying that he thought it would look old skool cool.

Five minutes later into the “are you sure?” and “do you really think a shaved head would suit me?” questions, Shane announced that he had a pair of hair clippers…

…and here is what happened next!

And so there we have it, number 14 of the bucket list completed! Some of you might say that I cheated because I didn’t shave the whole of my head, to you, I say that I was never trying to make myself look ugly, I just wanted to have a go at something a bit more daring – “I’m a donkey on the eddddge!” to quote the movie Shrek!

All in all I am glad I decided to take the plunge, after diving away from the clippers several times before Shane could start shaving, I can honestly say that I have no regrets – thanks Leah and Shane!
